about

This one is a description of the onset of anxiety

lyrics

Open my eyes to the world
And everything comes flooding in
I feel like I’m losing control
It doesn’t seem to matter what I do or say

Even as the day begins
Before my feet touch the ground
I feel a shadow fall
It seeps between the cracks of the everyday

When the panic sets in
To cover up my mind
Letting loose those feelings
Buried a lifetime ago

It fills up the idle time
Catching glimpses in between
To let me know it still cuts like a knife
It doesn’t seem affected by
the wisdom of age

It’s haunting through out the night
And stalking throughout the day
It’s watching from the wings
Just waiting for a chance to take centre stage

I couldn’t stop myself from being overwhelmed
It’s not as if I didn’t try
Never again I lied to myself
I could have guessed that the end of hope was lonely
What else did I expect to find?
Never again I lied to myself

When the panic sets in
To cover up my mind
Letting loose those feelings
Buried a lifetime ago
With the shadows descending
I’m a danger to myself
Can’t cope again
But can’t let anyone know

To cover up my mind

I’m a danger to myself
